The plans are drawn and the fundraising efforts are in full swing to build a Ronald McDonald House in St. John’s, Newfoundland – the province’s first! While the city is home to the only acute pediatric healthcare services in the province, the population it serves is spread over a large geographic area. Of the 115,000 patients who received care at the Janeway Centre in a year, approximately one in five had to travel more than 80 kilometres to get there.
