The first House to open in Canada in 1981 with 19 bedrooms. In response to an increased demand to deliver on their mission, the new House hosts 96 bedrooms supporting 81 families each and every night.
With 66 family bedrooms and 15 two-bedroom family suites this House is the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world providing 30,000 nights of family comfort each year.
Ronald McDonald House Toronto strives to provide a sense of normalcy for the families and children who stay there during a chaotic and traumatic time. With a committed staff of 28 and over 200 valuable and active volunteers the House provides more than just a place to stay. It provides a “home away from home” for seriously ill children and their families to heal better together.
Providing necessary programs and support services to help families engaged in the fight of their lives, the House provides a community of support. Programs include the fully accredited Ronald McDonald House Toronto School, Expressive Arts, Child Life, Home for Dinner and Play Program.
