Our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms

To extend the comfort and care families receive at a Ronald McDonald House directly into a hospital, some of our Houses set up a Ronald McDonald Family Room program. These Family Rooms allow added support for families who do not want to leave the hospital or be more than a few steps away from their sick child.

Each Ronald McDonald Family Room is a partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada, a Ronald McDonald House and a local hospital. Their goal is to provide a medical-free space to families where they can find peace and calm away from the beeps and pressures of the hospital, while allowing parents to be just seconds away from their child’s bedside.

Whether it’s to have a quiet moment, make a cup of hot tea, use the computer, do a little laundry or sleep, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms offer local and out-of-town families the support they need in the place they need it.
