Peggy Bartlett
McDonald's Canada Owner/Operator
Peggy Bartlett is the Owner/Operator of McDonald's Restaurants in Central Newfoundland with her husband Barry. Peggy is a graduate of the General Hospital School of Nursing and holds a diploma from the Memorial University Community Health Program and a diploma in Business Administration from the Newfoundland College of the North Atlantic.
Working for 15 years within the health care field, Peggy joined McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Ltd. in 1990. She is now the franchisee for McDonald’s in the towns of Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor and Lewisporte.
As well as serving on the board of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada, she also sits on the Grand Falls-Windsor Excite Community Development Board and the Central Status of Women Advisory Board.
As an active volunteer with both school and community events, Mrs. Bartlett has served on the boards of Dr. Charles A. Janeway Child Health Center Foundation, Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland, South and Central Health Foundation, CNIB (Central Nfld. Chapter) and The Premier's Business Advisory Board.
Peggy was the recipient of the NLOWE 2000 "Provincial Business Woman of the Year" (Central) and a Past winner of the Atlantic Canada Award for Outstanding Small Business Philanthropist. In 2009,
Peggy was awarded the inaugural Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada Partner Award for her dedication to Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada on a national and local level. She is working with her fellow Owner/Operators to build a Ronald McDonald House in Newfoundland and Labrador.
