Margaret has been responsible for overseeing a major expansion/renovation of the Ronald McDonald House in London. This meant going from a 17-bedroom House to one with 34 bedrooms. It’s also included supporting a successful capital campaign to raise $8.5 million, opening a new Ronald McDonald Family Room, and increasing the staff and volunteer base to meet the needs of the new organization while still maintaining tight controls on expenses and being a good steward of the donated funds.
She lives in Chatham (110 kilometres from London) and although her commute to work is more than an hour twice a day, she feels the rewards of the job far outweigh the time and effort expended.
