Anne Sutherland
Managing Director and Head, RBC Capital Markets
As Managing Director and Head of RBC Capital Markets, Anne leads a business unit solely dedicated to serving RBC’s large commercial clients in Canada. Previous to this role, Anne was head of RBC’s marketing and client strategies for Retail Banking.
Anne has held a number of key committees and board positions over the past decade, including the boards for the Centre for Global Innovation and Leadership, the Business Council of BC (and Executive Committee), Vancouver Board of Trade, Science World (and Executive Committee), the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the UBC Foundation. Anne has consistently supported the advancement of women in business, and in particular women entrepreneurs. In 2003, she was recognized as one of Business in Vancouver magazine’s “five influential women in business.”
Anne holds an MBA in finance from York University and Laval University, as well as a BA from the University of Toronto and the University of Edinburgh.
